Protein Kinase Classification: CAMK DCAMKL※ DCAMKL family introduction DCAMKL, Doublecortin-like and CAM kinase-like protein, belong to CAMKL group. Three members have been found in human, DCAMKL1-3. DCAMKL1 may participate in calcium-signaling pathway and control the neuronal migration in the developing brain (1). DCAML2 has little Ca(2+)/CAM affinity compared with other CAMK proteins and may be involved in down regulation of CRE-dependent gene activation via phosphorylating CREB coactivator CRT/TORC2 (2).
