Protein Kinase Classification: Other RAN※ RAN family introduction RAN kinase are classified into "Other" group. Three family members have been identified in yeast while no members have been found in mammals. Yeast member VHS1 functions as a ser/thr protein kinase involved in the G1-S transition. The functions and regulation of Other two members, KSP1 and SKS1 remain to be further understood (1).
