Protein Kinase Classification:      TK      Lmr

※ Lmr family introduction

Lmr (Lemur tyrosine kinase) belong to tyrosine kinase family (1). Three members have been found in human genome. LMTK1, also known as AATK, is an apoptosis-associated tyrosine kinase; it contains an N-terminal tyrosine kinase domain and a C-terminal proline-rich domain. LMTK1 is required for induction of growth arrest or apoptosis of myeloid precursor cells. LMTK2 is thought to mediate the phosphorylation of PPP1C. Function and regulation LMTK3 remain further understood (2).
